As a way forward to foster energy efficiency in IMT-GT subregion, the Centre for Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle Subregional Cooperation (CIMT) had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Danish Energy Efficiency Partners (DEEP) on 28th February 2022.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, Director of CIMT, and Mr. Morten Sondergaard, Managing Director of DEEP, Mr. Yogaanandh Tanggaraju, Technical Director of DEEP, and witnessed by Mr. Mohammad Akhir bin Abdul Rahman, Deputy Director of CIMT.
This MoU underpins mutual commitments and efforts from both parties within three years, to accelerate the implementation of IMT-GT projects/programmes as envisioned in the IMT-GT Sustainable Urban Development Framework 2019-2036 and Implementation Blueprint 2022-2026, under the energy efficiency sector.
The above MoU will be a gateway for member countries to tap into DEEP’s technical expertise in energy efficiency, which will enable member countries to design, develop and implement Sustainability-themed projects/programmes within the subregion.
